Wow. What a game. I honestly am so happy to be sitting here, and this game has been QUITE a ride. I want to start off by thanking Justin for hosting. I know that he puts a lot of effort into planning these games and hosting them. None of this would have been possible without his dedication. I’d be lying if I said that this game was easy. It definitely wasn’t. There were a lot of obstacles along the way, and it was a lot harder to vote people out than I expected it to be. This was a rollercoaster ride the whole way, and I’m happy to have survived it. That being said, I hope that you are not sitting there planning on voting based on whether or not you got your feelings hurt. Although I apologize for the things I have done that may or may not have angered you or hurt you in any way, I don’t think it is fair to vote solely based on whether they hurt your feelings. That says nothing about the game, and the same thing goes for if you are angry or hurt by Colleen’s actions. I hope that all of you sitting on the jury plan on voting for the best player to win the game.
Coming into this game, I was unsure of what my strategy would be. My plan was just to be myself and see how it played out from there. The core alliance of Ellis ended up dominating, and that was great for me because I was positioned well there. I think I played a well-balanced social, strategic, and competitive game. Even though I may not have been the strongest in challenges, my social and strategic gameplay allowed me to get all of the way to this Final Tribal Council without ever receiving a vote cast against me. That’s a major accomplishment for me. I’m not saying that I never lied or stretched the truth. However, I do not believe that I told any lies that were unnecessary, and every vote I casted was just to get me to this point. Nothing I did was meant to be mean-spirited, and I did not get any delight from voting anyone off. The merge was really tough for me, and I did not enjoy writing anyone’s name down. All of my relationships with you guys were genuine, and I enjoyed getting to know every single one of you.
I look forward to hearing your questions, and I will answer all of them honestly. I will just warn you guys in advance though that I will be in NYC tomorrow, so I will not be getting to your questions until late evening when I return. I will answer as much as I can before I leave, but I will get everything else as soon as I get back. Anyway, thank you guys so much for making this game what it was. It truly was an amazing adventure, and I’m really happy that I had the opportunity to take part in it.
